Lincoln Area Festival

2.00pm – 6.30pm

 

Your choir is once again warmly invited to take part in the annual Area Festival which this year will be directed by Aric Prentice Director of Music at Lincoln Cathedral. The organist will once again be Charles Harrison, Assistant Director of Music at Lincoln Cathedral.  Awards to candidates successful in the Bishop’s and Dean’s Chorister examinations will be presented. Robed and unrobed choirs are equally welcome. 

Please ensure the Booking Form, with exact numbers, is sent to the Secretary (details on the form Below) by Monday, 28th September.

The music will include:

 

O come in one - Tallis

O praise the Lord - John Goss

O how amiable - Ralph Vaughan Williams

How lovely are thy dwellings - Brahms

Refreshments

Hot and cold drinks will be available but please bring your own food for tea.

 

Cost

Booklets containing the order of service and music may be ordered from the Area Secretary, price £5.00 each. Please make cheques payable to ‘RSCM Lincoln Area A/C’  

 

Child Protection                                                                                                         

Please note that any groups of young people attending are deemed to be under the supervision of a designated adult from their home church or school. Parents/guardians must sign a form beforehand giving permission for their child to participate in this event. Only those young people whose names are listed and whose parents/guardians have approved their participation before the event begins are allowed to take part.
